Surveillance only ran one way. Until now.
The state knows where you live, what you earn, who you live with and what you have done. You do not know the same about the people making the decisions. Spegeln closes that gap with their own public records.
We do not invent anything
Every fact in the register comes from an identified Swedish public source or a licensed Swedish registry service that discloses its responsible publisher and upstream source. Parliament, government, courts, the Companies Registration Office, procurement data, Police, the Prosecution Authority and population-register sources form part of that chain. We connect what is already public and attach a source to every fact.
What unsettles people is not that the facts exist. It is that they can suddenly be seen together.
Evidence is evidence. Rumour is rumour.
Official documents and APIs are evidence. Anonymous claims are not. They carry an explicit unverified label and can never raise anyone's problem index. AI interpretations organise information; they prove nothing.
We never blur those four categories. Anyone trying to discredit Spegeln will need another argument.
Nothing is softened
No lawyer, authority or AI may weaken, delay or tone down a publication grounded in verified public data. Legal review may flag risk and propose a correction. It is never a gate.
Power may reply—not edit
Everyone covered by a publication is notified and given a direct right of reply. Their response is published immediately, unedited and in the original language. A disputed fact remains; a proven error is corrected openly and the old version stays in the log.
The right to reply is absolute. The right to disappear is not.
Anonymity is architecture, not a setting
The application stores no IP addresses. You can use a secret token account without a name or email, or deliberately choose email or username as a login method. Votes are deduplicated with an irreversible device-proof hash that cannot be traced back to a person.
We cannot hand over what we never stored.
Facts cost nothing
All public information, analysis, exports and monitoring are free and stay free. We charge for postage, team workspaces and industrial-scale API access. Not for the truth.
